The critters in these pages are hand-made using polymer clay (Sculpey, Fimo, Premo, Cernit, Modurit and other brands). The characters are mostly figments of my own imagination. The tools used are clay shapers (brush-like with rubber tips), standard manicure tools, pins and a wide variety of objects with a pointy end. For creatures on two and more legs and taller fellows wire armature is used. Buttons, pins, beads, watch parts, coins etc. tiny little what-nots are used for clothing, armor, toys, and tool accessories. It takes anything from 30 minutes to several hours to make a critter. The characters are typically 3 to 5 inches (8-13 cm) tall.
